The eighth annual Festival of Glass runs between January and March 2018 in Drysdale, Victoria.

Glass Art Awards 1 August 2017 – 19 January 2018 Categories: Sculptural, Functional and Wearable Glass Art; Bellawein Award, Best of Show, People’s Choice. Awards presented at Festival Expo, 18 February.

Glass Art Raffle 18 November 2017 – 18 February 2018 $4,000-worth of glass art as prizes.

Treasure Hunt 8 January to 18 February 32 north Bellarine businesses display local glass art plus glass ‘Tiny Treasures’ to spot, leading to the draw for prizes at the Festival Expo.

Glass Inspirations 8 January to 18 February Glass art exhibition at The Bungalow Restaurant, High Street, Drysdale. (M. – Th. 7.30am – 6.00pm; Fri. – Sat. 7.30am – 10.30pm; Sun. 8.30am – 4.00pm)

Historic Bottles Valuation 11 February The Old Courthouse Museum, High Street, Drysdale. Distinguished glass auctioneers value your old bottles.

Twilight Flames 17 February 7.00 – 10.30pm at Leura Park Estate winery, Portarlington Road, Curlewis. Internationally renowned glass artist Mauro Vianello, from Murano (Venice) will blow and sculpt glass and talk about his work.

Festival Expo 18 February 10.00am – 4.00pm at Christian College, Collins St., Drysdale. Stalls by 50+ glass artists and businesses; glass art, jewelry, mosaics and home ware; glass-working demonstrations; the annual Glass Art Awards and the Treasure Hunt draw.

Glass Art Classes 20 February to 17 March. Topics include flame work, kiln-forming, glass beadweaving and mosaics. Beginners can create simple glass art; experienced glass workers can work with master glass artists.
